DOWFROST HD 40% inhibited propylene glycol offers effective heat transfer over a wide temperature range: from -6 °F to 325 °F.
DOWFROST HD 40% inhibited propylene glycol (PG) is comprised of about 94% PG and 6% corrosion inhibitors, and then diluted 60% by reverse-osmosis water. The lower PG content in DOWROST HD 40% allows for additional corrosion inhibitors including some which are not approved by FDA as GRAS. These additional components do not compromise fluid toxicity and provide an enhanced level of corrosion protection which is unsurpassed in the industry. DOWFROST HD 40% has a fluorescent yellowish green color and is capable of operating at higher temperatures than regular DOWFROST: from -6 °F to 325 °F.
DOWFROST HD 40% is intended for low toxicity, non-food processing applications.
